Is daily WhatsApp coaching included in the price?
Yes: daily WhatsApp coaching is part of the monthly fee from the first week, not an add-on. The medication makes the start easier; what has to carry on after it stops is your habits.
GLP-1 medication is the catalyst. The right habits are what make it last.
What it looks like, every day on WhatsApp:
- Each morning, the day’s plan: your calorie, protein and walking targets, set by Dr Quek.
- Send a photo of a meal, or describe it, and the assistant estimates the calories and protein and shows what’s left for the day.
- Send your steps or any other activity (a swim, a ride, a gym session) and it’s logged.
- If strength work is on your plan: a short bodyweight routine on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, under 10 minutes, and a log of how it went.
- A short end-of-day summary of what you logged against the day’s targets, and an optional weigh-in once a week.
Dr Quek sets the plan; the assistant keeps it in front of you every day. It doesn’t give medical, nutrition or dosing advice. Anything clinical goes to Dr Quek, and your care team is on WhatsApp from 9am to 9pm every day, Singapore time. Outside those hours an urgent symptom does not wait for a reply: go to an emergency department, or call 995 if it is an emergency.
That’s what the taper rests on. The aim is that by the time Dr Quek starts stepping the dose down, eating to a protein target, walking daily and logging your meals are already part of your routine. The habits are in place before the medication goes, and if you want the coaching to continue after the taper, it can (see below).

After the taper, you can keep the daily WhatsApp coaching and a monthly review consultation with Dr Quek for S$88 a month, without medication, if you wish. If the weight starts coming back, you can return to Dr Quek at any time: a restart begins with a review consultation, and whether to restart the medication is his decision at that review.

The first consultation costs S$20: a 30-minute video consultation with Dr Quek. You get your S$20 back if Dr Quek decides GLP-1 medication is not right for you. There is no refund if you cancel or do not attend, or if Dr Quek prescribes medication and you choose not to start.
It is how you and Dr Quek decide whether the programme is right for you, and there is no obligation to continue afterwards. A consultation does not guarantee a prescription. You can change your first consultation at no charge any time before it starts, and your payment carries over.

How is the monthly fee billed?

Will insurance or MediSave cover GLP-1?
Not under the two Integrated Shield Plan wordings checked, which exclude treatment for obesity and weight reduction; other insurers have their own wording, so the exclusions section of your own policy is the place to check. As checked on 7 October 2026, obesity is not one of the 23 chronic conditions covered by MediSave’s outpatient scheme, and no GLP-1 medicine for weight is on MOH’s list of subsidised drugs or the Healthier SG medication list.
